Equine Transportation Yellow Pages

We at ETYP have decided to offer customers, the opportunity to find "REPUTABLE" haulers with a click of a button.

On our site all haulers are verified “LEGAL” haulers. We did not just take their word! They had to follow strict guidelines before being listed on our site. All Canadian/USA haulers had to provide proof of insurance, USDOT and federal authority, recent maintenance on their truck and trailer and several references, which were checked out. These haulers care about their business and treat their clients and their business in a “PROFESSIONAL” courteous manner.

When you are looking for a commercial hauler (an individual that request money for the haul) they are required to have the following:

Alberta Hauler(s)
- A commercial plate
With a commercial plate their unit has to be inspected annually! There will be a sticker on the side of the unite which states the last inspection date. They also will have a name or slogan on the side of the vehicle and the tare and gvw.
- National Safety Code if their unit is over 11794 kg
- IFTA
- Electric Breaks
- Anything over 2300 kg requires a breakaway system
- Manifest

Canadian Hauler(s)
- Same as above with one exception
- National Safety Code if their unit weighs more then 4500 kg

Canadian/USA Hauler(s)
- National Safety Code if their unit weighs more then 4500 kg
- A commercial Plate (see above notes under Alberta Hauler(s))
- IFTA - Electric Breaks
- Anything over 2300 kg requires a breakaway system
- US DOT/MC numbers As of November 1st, 2007 they will require a UCR which will replace the old SSR system (Single State Registration).

This site is designed to weed out the illegal haulers and wannabe reputable haulers.

We hope you enjoy the site and find it helpful. If we can help save you the heart ache of a bad hauler this site has done what it was intended to do.
